World Wood Day 2020 Online Celebration in China, March 21st, 2020
May 24, 2020
As an eco-friendly and renewable biomaterial, wood plays a key role in our lives and sustainable world future. The International Wood Culture Society (IWCS) celebrates World Wood Day annually on March 21st to spread the concept Wood is Good, and to remind people of the importance and the value of wood and its responsible usage. Due to COVID-19, the participants could not gather on this special day this year, but they commemorated, celebrated, and marked the anniversary in their own way. Many people related to wood culture in China convey the concept of “Wood is Good” in the form of wood- carving, woodturning, folk art, literature, or poetry. Previous World Wood Day participants posted photos on their social media accounts to share their cherished memories. Celebrating this special World Wood Day online is touching and impressive.
