The Faculty of Silviculture and Forest Engineering from Brasov (Romania) is one of the flagship faculties in forestry. For many decades, it was the only faculty involved in the training of specialists in the field of forestry in Romania. As the oldest faculty of the Transilvania University, it is at the forefront of its field with a wide range of Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree programmes.

For educational purposes and training of forestry students, the Faculty of Silviculture and Forest Engineering aims at developing its collection of wood samples, any support from laboratories, international wood collection curators or other entities being highly appreciated.
